Classroom Management

I believe in a health classroom for the individual, the class and for me as your teacher. In order to have a health classroom we must all have respect for each other and behave in a respectful manner. Knowing that there will be times when human nature will kick in and an individual or the class will make choices that hinder our health classroom, I operate under the policy of forgiveness and grace for all. However, I also believe that no individual or group of individuals has the right to interfere with the learning or the instruction that will take place in our classroom.

Those who choose to interfere with instruction or learning will be given the following in hopes that they will choose to manage their behavior in appropriate ways:
• Silent signal
• Private intervention
• Option to adjust their behavior or be removed from the learning environment.

It is never my desire to see a student leave the learning environment. I will avoid this at all cost and use it only as a last resort. In leaving the learning environment "no one wins!"

My rules for a health classroom will be clearly presented as well as displayed. We will review these rules on a regular bases to help us maintain the best learning environment for all.
